The International Vienna Energy and Climate Forum (IVECF) 2026 will take place over two days from 9-10 April 2026, at the historic Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria.
Co-organized by UNIDO, the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of Austria, the Austrian Development Agency and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, in cooperation with other Vienna-based international organizations and partners, the IVECF 2026 will convene global leaders from governments, international organizations, industry, academia, development partners and civil society, under the theme “Powering Prosperity, Security and Stability”.
Over two days, IVECF 2026 will advance the objectives of the UN Pact for the Future - aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation to address 21st‑century challenges - by formulating a Vienna Call to Action on Sustainable Energy and Climate Security and a Five‑Year Implementation Plan for the Belém Declaration. In doing so, the Forum will reaffirm green industrialization, just energy transition and climate action as cornerstones of shared prosperity, resilience and global stability, while providing substantive inputs to the initial deliberations on the post‑2030 development agenda.
