Going Global, UN Assistance: Shanghai Jiaotong University-Antai EMBA Alumni Delegation Visits UNIDO
Recently The EMBA Alumni Associations of Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, led over 60 alumni entrepreneurs from 9 alumni associatiaons including the Antai EMBA Alumni Association, the Intelligent Manufacturing Association, the International Exchange Association, the EMBA Talent Association, the EMBA Tennis Association, the EMBA Students' Federation, the EMBA Outdoor Club, and the EMBA Suzhou Alumni Association to visit the UNIDO ITPO Shanghai to realize the global resources of UN agencies.
Ms.Zhao Xiaolei,Head of UNIDO ITPO Shanghai, Mr.Zhou Daoli, Director of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Antai EMBA Center, and Ms.Wang Liping, President of Antai EMBA Lingxiuhui have deivered speeches during the visiting. Mr.Yuan Zhonghua, President of the International Exchange Association, Mr. Yang Long, Founding President and lifetime honorary president of the Talent Association, Mr. He Yinghong, Vice President of the Intelligent Manufacturing Association, and Ms.Sun Jie, Vice President of Antai EMBA Lingxiuhui from major associations introduced the development concepts, key activities, and the interaction among alumni of their respective organizations. Ms. Wang Hui, Investment and Technology Promotion Officer of UNIDO ITPO Shanghai, systematically introduced UNIDO's mission and mandate, especially the practical cases of UNIDO in supporting enterprises' globalization, green transformation and technological cooperation.

WANG Liping: We hoped that the SJTU Antai Alumni Association and the ITPO Shanghai will complement each other's resources and achieve mutual empowerment, promoting Chinese solutions to go global and sharing the diverse values of development.

YANG Long: International mergers and acquisitions, akin to "an ant swallowing an elephant," urgently require more professional and academic support. The SJTU Industrial Investment and M&A Research Center is fully committed to supporting the global expansion of China's technology industry!
HE Yinghong: Smart manufacturing is the vanguard of Chinese enterprises' overseas industrial expansion! Research on country-specific conditions and identifying the right partners are both critical to their successful global expansion.
SUN Jie: To promote the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine, a step-by-step strategy is being adopted, focusing on high-standard quality control (standardization, blockchain traceability, FDA certification, etc.) and prioritizing culturally similar markets for expansion before broadening the global reach.
WANG Hui: UNIDO actively builds bridges for enterprises in developing countries to connect with the international market, supporting Chinese companies in expanding globally through market access, technological cooperation, and platform development.
During the visiting, many alumni entrepreneurs shared their valuable practical experiences and stories of going global and summarized the key points for Chinese enterprises to go global, including market access thresholds, partner screening, official policy support, technology application localization, and overseas employment safety.
Finally, both sides explored the content of cooperation based on the global alumni cluster of Jiaotong University, and particularly engaged in a lively discussion on creating a technological application model and international expansion path for Chinese enterprises going global. Next, the two sides will carry out specific cooperation in six aspects: jointly building a capacity building center, technology application matching, policy dialogue, promoting green supply chains, disseminating and promoting best cases, and establishing a network of industry-university-research cooperation. Both sides will jointly build an international platform that promotes the overseas expansion of industries, green innovation and sustainable cooperation. In the future, it will help more Chinese enterprises fully connect with the world and inject more "China Power" into global sustainable development.
