UNIDO Day 2021 was held through online and offline in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center on Apr 16, 2021. UNIDO Day 2021 was hosted by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), organized by UNIDO ITPO Shanghai, ISID Joint Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Foreign Investment Association (SHFIA), Shanghai Overseas Economics & Technology Promotion Association (SOPA), and co-organized by UNIDO Green Industrial Platform, Capital Institute of Science and Technology Development Strategy (CISTDS) and Blockchain Innovation Service Industry Committee of China Chamber of International Commerce (BISIC of CCOIC). UNIDO Day 2021 was themed on "World Industrial & Innovative Technology Cooperation (WiiTs) Step Up the Industrialization Ladder in the Post-COVID-19 Era".

WiiTs Awarding Ceremony & Project Roadshow was held during the UNIDO Day. On the awarding ceremony of the registered WiiTs technologies, Zhao Xiaolei, Head of UNIDO ITPO Shanghai introduced WiiTs and announced the first batch of registered WiiTs technologies. Among the WiiTs registered technologies, five projects participated in the UNIDO Day 2021 WiiTs Global Roadshow, interacted with professional investors and potential partners, which contributed to form the solid foundation for investment and technological cooperation.
