UNIDO Day at the 7th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF)

The 2019 UNIDO Day of the 7th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF) was hold on April 19th in Shanghai, China, with the theme of "Technology Investment Innovation: A Dialogue between UNIDO ITPO Network & YRD Region on High Quality Development”.

With strong support from the Department of Trade, Investment and Innovation (TII) of UNIDO, we honorably have Mr. Bernado Calzadilla-Sarmiento as the chair of 30 People Roundtable Dialogue with the topics of “From Industrial Symbiosis to Urban Symbiosis” and “Facing the 4th Industrial Revolution, how to deal with Industry Iteration and Manufacture Service Innovation.”

In order to contribute to the transformation and development of the regional economy, the ITPO Shanghai Investment Promotion Center (CSITF Shanghai) introduced two achievements from UNIDO headquarters to launch at the current CSITF.

The first one is an online training course on Impact Investing, conducted by UNIDO and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies, aiming to promote capacity-building in responsible investment and sustainable development technologies.

The second is the implementation framework of the International Industrial Ecological Park, which is jointly developed by UNIDO, the World Bank Group and the German Technical Corporation, to ensure the sustainable development of the park by integrating social, economic and environmental considerations into the site selection, planning, management and operation of the park.

This conference has acquired wide media coverage both in China and overseas. CGTN has interviewed Mr. Bernado, who expressed UNIDO ITPO Network’s willingness of partnering with China to promote technology and industry innovation.
