ZHAO Xiaolei, Head of UNIDO ITPO Shanghai , attended the 2019 World Industrial Design Conference on behalf of UNIDO

At the invitation of the Organizing Committee, ZHAO Xiaolei, Head of UNIDO ITPO Shanghai, accompanied by Mr.Farrukh ALIMDJANOV, the industrial development officer of the TII Department, representing UNIDO attended the 2019 World Industrial Design Conference held in Yantai, China, on October 18. She further delivered an exchange speech at the round table summit on Design Industry Development.

The World Industrial Design Congress is an international design industry development event sponsored by the China Industrial Design Association in conjunction with more than 30 countries and regions in the world. It aims to promote further integration of industrial design and economic and social development, and to seek industrial design exchanges and cooperation between countries and regions.

At the round table, Ms. ZHAO introduced the contributions of UNIDO to industrial design in Tajikistan, Armenia, India and other developing countries, and stressed the significance of industrial design in global competition and sustainable development. At the same time, Ms. ZHAO also introduced the structural objectives of UNIDO ITPO Shanghai "one Network, one Platform, one Center" and its achievements in the formulation of international standards, industrial transformation and empowerment, and the docking of technical funds.
