Strengthening International Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence: Shanghai Municipal Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization Visits UNIDO ITPO Shanghai

On April 19, Deputy Director Zhang Hongtao of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization (SMCEI), along with Deputy Director Li Junxia of the Artificial Intelligence Division and Deputy Director Xi Bin of the Development Center, visited the UNIDO ITPO Shanghai. Zhao Xiaolei hosted the delegation and provided an update on the progress since the launch of the "UNIDO Global Alliance on Artificial Intelligence for Industry and Manufacturing" and the "UNIDO International Center of Excellence for Development of for Industry and Manufacturing." 

Deputy Director Zhang Hongtao, on behalf of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization (SMCEI), expressed gratitude to UNIDO for its continuous support in the successful organization of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) over the years. He also stated that SMCEI would collaborate with relevant entities to further advance the establishment of the UNIDO International Center of Excellence for Development of for Industry and Manufacturing in Shanghai. Both parties exchanged views on further strengthening comprehensive cooperation.
